My favorite road trip was when I was in coeglle and helped my aunt move from Victoria, TX to San Fransisco, CA. She was undergoing chemo at the time and was pretty sick, so I drove the huge u-haul truck containing all her belongings which was attached to another trailer with her car behind us. She also had two cats which sat in their carriers between us in the cab. I was dreadfully allergic to cats! Our uhaul died at least 4 times in the desert along the way, and at one point had to be towed to the nearest repair shop. We spent most nights sneaking the cats into a hotel room that didn’t allow pets. It sounds like a horrible road trip, but we laugh and remember it fondly still to this day.
